A Third Culture Kid (TCK) is a person who has spent a significant part of his or her developmental years outside the parents' culture. The TCK frequently builds relationships to all of the cultures, while not having full ownership in any. Although elements from each culture may be assimilated into the TCK's life experience, the sense of belonging is in relationship to others of similar background.

Grandma-- this is for you.
Grandma.
I have two pairs of glasses so I took some pictures with them both on like you wear. I hope you like them.
I love the glasses Nia, and I like how you posed for the pictures! Remember, one of my pairs of glasses is my regular ones and the other is sunglasses! I bet it is so sunny there that you probably do need two pairs sun glasses on. Yiks! will I have to wear three pairs of glasses when I visti? Maybe just the two pairs of glasses and a big brim hat....how about that? thanks for thinking of me Nia and I love you! Grandma
Dear Nia,
ReplyDeleteI know you said it's just for your Grandma, but I like the pictures, too.
I hope that's ok.
Love,
Tia
